What is Nebido injection (Testosterone Undecanoate) used for?

Nebido contains Testosterone Undecanoate, which is used for testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) for male patients with conditions caused by low testosterone (hypogonadism). Some of these conditions include erectile dysfunction, impotence, reduced sex drive or other hormonal imbalance issues.

Symptoms of low testosterone

While low testosterone levels will need to be confirmed via blood tests, some of the common symptoms include:

  • Fatigue, tiredness, low energy levels.
  • Reduced lean muscle mass or strength.
  • Obesity.
  • Loss of body hair, less beard growth.

  • Difficult concentrating or focusing.
  • Erectile dysfunction or difficulty achieving or maintaining an erection.

However, there are other conditions that may cause such symptoms, it is important to seek the advice of a doctor for an accurate diagnosis.

How does Nebido work?

Nebido is given as an injection into the muscle every 10 to 14 weeks. Nebido will be slowly released into the bloodstream and can provide a steady and sustained release of testosterone over this period of time.
