If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is close to the time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your usual timing. Do not take two doses at the same time to make up for the missed dose.
Metronidazole is generally well tolerated. It may occasionally cause nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, having a metallic or unpleasant taste in your mouth. To reduce such occurrences, take Metronidazole with or after food.
Some patients do experience headache while on Metronidazole as well. Pain relief medicines can be taken to alleviate that.
Inform your healthcare professional if:

Always notify your doctor and pharmacist if you are taking any other medicines, including herbal tonics such as traditional Chinese medicines, supplements and medicines that you buy without a prescription.
