What is Heptral® used for​​​?

Heptral 200/400 is used in adults to:

• Support healthy liver function
• Reduce tiredness and fatigue
• Provide general liver tonic effect
• Support healthy mood balance

Ingredients

Each tablet of Heptral contains Ademetionine or S-adenosyl-L-methionine (SAMe). SAMe is a derivative of the amino acid methionine and is a naturally-occurring substance distributed throughout the human body. It is present in all living cells and takes part in many biochemical reactions in the body and it is important for a large number of metabolic pathways in the body. SAMe is not easily available from typical dietary sources.

Directions

• Take 1 or 2 tablets per day or as directed by the healthcare professional. Benefits are most likely evident after 7-14 days and are maintained with continued use. The maximum daily dose is 1600 mg (8 tablets of 200-mg or 4 tablets of 400-mg). To be taken as instructed by doctor.
• Tablets should be swallowed whole and not chewed.
• To be taken on an empty stomach for better absorption.

Precautions

May cause sleepiness. Caution is advised when driving or operating machinery until reasonably certain that Heptral therapy does not affect their ability to engage in such activities.
